I began officiating football in 2012 and have officiated youth, middle school, and high school games throughout my career. I have also attended several Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) officiating camps to further develop my skills.
Since 2020, I have served in leadership roles within the Colorado Springs Football Officials Association (CSFOA), first as Vice President/Area 3 Director and currently as President/Area 3 Director. During that time, I have been actively involved in recruiting, training, and mentoring new officials, including developing a preseason scrimmage program that gives first-year officials valuable on-field experience before their first live assignments.
I have served as a Crew Chief for the past four seasons, been a trainer and mentor at the CFOA Officials Clinic in Greeley for the past two years and currently assist CFOA with website management and test development. My postseason experience includes three CHSAA State Championship games (one 3A and two 4A championships), and 4A and 5A quarterfinal and semifinal assignments over the past ten seasons.
If elected President of the Colorado Football Officials Association, I would consider it a privilege to serve what I believe to be among the best officiating organizations in the country. My goals would be to build on the strong foundation that already exists. I do not believe our association needs sweeping changes; rather, I believe we can continue to improve by increasing transparency, improving communication, and making our processes easier for our members to understand.
I also believe our long-term success depends on recruiting, developing, and retaining quality officials. My focus will be on supporting our local associations, strengthening training and mentorship opportunities, and ensuring that CFOA continues to provide the leadership and resources necessary for football officiating to thrive throughout Colorado.
